Choose two colors for your tube: a dark one for the foreground and a
light one for the background
Prepare a Linear gradient
PRINT [0 0 des]
Open a new transparent image measuring 1000x700px
Paint with the gradient
Selections - Select all

Copy your main tube
Paste into selection
Select none
Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling - default
Effects - Plugins - Phpshares-hdj1 - blocks

Layers - Duplicate
Image - Resize: 60% - all layers unchecked
Effects - Plugin - Phpshares-hdj2 - Michele

Image - Mirror Horizontal
Merge down

Select the central part with the Selection Tool and Press Delete

Drop shadow: 4 4 60 4 black

Image - Add borders - 10px - light color

Select this 40px border with the Magic Wand (tolerance/feather:0)
Paint with the gradient from the beginning
